Dubai International Airport is gearing up for a surge in travelers during the upcoming Eid Al Fitr holiday, with Emirates expecting around 80,000 passengers to pass through Terminal 3 during

peak travel days.

The airline has identified March 28 and 29, as well as April 5 and 6, as the busiest days for departures, coinciding with spring break getaways. To help passengers navigate the airport smoothly, Emirates has provided key travel tips.

Plan ahead for a hassle-free experience

Emirates advises travelers to arrive at the airport at least three hours before departure and pay close attention to boarding times to ensure they reach their gate on time. To streamline the check-in process, passengers can take advantage of multiple options before reaching the airport, including:

- Online check-in via the Emirates website or app, available 48 hours before departure

- City Check-in & Travel Store at ICD Brookfield Place, accessible from 24 to four hours before departure (except for flights to the US)

- Home check-in services for added convenience from a residence or hotel

- Self-service kiosks and baggage drop facilities in Terminal 3, along with mobile check-in stations throughout the terminal

- Check-in at Ajman Central Bus Terminal for those traveling from the northern Emirates, available from 24 to four hours before departure

Passengers can also drop off their luggage the night before their flight at no extra charge or opt for early check-in, dropping off their bags up to 24 hours before departure (12 hours for US-bound flights). This allows them to head straight to immigration or use the Smart Tunnel for a quicker airport experience.

Timely arrival is crucial

To avoid delays, Emirates reminds passengers to clear passport control and security at least 90 minutes before departure and to be at their gate no later than:

- One hour before takeoff for Premium Economy and Economy Class

- 45 minutes before takeoff for First and Business Class

Boarding gates will close 20 minutes before departure, and Emirates has emphasized that late passengers will not be accepted. Strict adherence to check-in and gate closure times ensures flights depart as scheduled.
