Dubai-based food and beverage company Nutridor is setting its sights on Kenya and Tanzania, with plans to invest $15 million in a new processing plant. The facility will produce value-added
dairy products like cheese and butter to cater to the East African market. While liquid milk is already prevalent in the region, Nutridor's Chief Executive Officer, Sankha Biswas, aims to offer something unique. The new processing plant will be constructed alongside Nutridor's current Dubai factory.
The company plans to enter the East African market through distributor partnerships. The dairy and cheese market in Kenya is ripe for investment, especially in niche product segments like cheese and butter, which haven't received much attention from processors.
