The Saudi Arabia Foreign Ministry has introduced the Electronic Visa Waiver (EVW) for citizens of the United Kingdom. This decision allows UK citizens to visit the Kingdom for tourism,
business, study, or medical treatment, and they can stay for up to 6 months on a single entry.
The ministry stated that this step was taken to facilitate travel procedures for those wishing to visit Saudi Arabia. UK travelers can apply for the visa waiver through the ministry's visa portal at visa.mofa.gov.sa. They can submit the waiver requests between 90 days and 48 hours before their travel date.
Approvals for the visa waiver will be sent to the beneficiaries via email within 24 hours of submitting their requests. It is worth noting that the UK's electronic visa waiver scheme was made available to Saudi citizens last year.
