Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, has unveiled the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence,

an annual initiative aimed at advancing key targets outlined in Dubai’s economic agenda D33. The plan seeks to inject Dh100 billion into the economy and boost economic productivity by 50 percent.

"In the initial phase of our plan this year, our focus will be on enhancing the quality of life and well-being of Dubai's residents through the utilization of Artificial Intelligence," Sheikh Hamdan stated in a post on his X account. "We will kickstart by appointing Chief A.I. Officers in all Dubai governmental entities, introduce a comprehensive program to attract and support data centers, and unveil a new A.I. company license. Additionally, we will inaugurate dedicated Incubators and Campuses for Artificial Intelligence to enrich Dubai’s dynamic A.I. ecosystem. Furthermore, A.I. will be integrated into Dubai's schools through the introduction of an A.I. week."

"We will continuously review, update, and introduce new projects under this plan, ensuring it remains aligned with all advancements. Dubai is a city centered around its people, and we are committed to dedicating all our resources and energy to make it the happiest place in the world," he added.

Sheikh Hamdan emphasized that Dubai's annual plan for accelerating the adoption of artificial intelligence applications reflects the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to elevate the city’s status as a global technology and innovation hub. The plan underscores Dubai’s commitment to harnessing new artificial intelligence technologies to shape a brighter future across all sectors.

"In 1999, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum initiated Dubai's digital transformation journey, leading to the recent unveiling of the Dubai Digital Strategy. We have achieved remarkable milestones, establishing ourselves as the premier hub for billion-dollar global enterprises in the technology and artificial intelligence sectors within the region," he noted.

He further highlighted the accelerated evolution of artificial intelligence in recent years, presenting both opportunities and challenges for nations and governments. Dubai's annual plan for AI adoption serves as a roadmap for leveraging AI across vital sectors crucial to the emirate's future, aiming to position Dubai as the city offering the most conducive environment for economic growth, technological utilization, and the adoption of advanced applications.

Objectives of the Plan:

-Foster the growth of artificial intelligence companies and attract global talent by enhancing competitiveness and facilitating business operations.

-Establish Dubai as a leader in AI adoption in government operations through the implementation of AI tools in projects and initiatives.

-Support government entities in effectively adopting future technologies and leveraging AI solutions to accelerate progress across various fields.
