The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), comprising six countries, is contemplating the implementation of a single visa system, allowing residents to travel freely among member states, according

to a statement by a UAE minister. Abdullah Bin Touq Al Marri, the UAE Minister of Economy, suggested that this system could be introduced in the near future.

Presently, only citizens of GCC nations have visa-free access to the member states, while expatriates residing in these countries need to obtain separate visas for each member state. Some nationalities are granted visa-free or visa-on-arrival privileges. The idea of a pan-GCC single visa was discussed at the Future Hospitality Summit in Abu Dhabi, with plans for a unified visa system being developed to facilitate tourism across multiple countries without restrictions.
