Ajman Police in the UAE have successfully arrested three expatriates of Arab nationality after a daring robbery at a jewellery shop in the gold market. The estimated value of the stolen items in

the heist amounted to Dh1.1 million (approximately $300,000), as reported on July 7, 2023.

The suspects were captured within a remarkably short span of 12 hours following the crime. Authorities have disclosed that the stolen gold jewellery, along with a cash sum of Dh40,000, has been recovered, bringing relief to the store owner.

Investigations revealed that the owner of the jewellery shop had unintentionally failed to activate the alarm system, which was linked to the central operations room. Exploiting this security oversight, the suspects successfully carried out the theft without immediate detection.

Ajman Police emphasized the importance of business owners, particularly those dealing with valuable items, taking necessary precautions to safeguard their establishments. They urged the implementation of functional alarm systems and adherence to security protocols to prevent such incidents in the future.
