Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa lit up on Wednesday night to celebrate the 75th birthday of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The world’s tallest building beamed images of Modi alongside the
words “Happy Birthday”, with dazzling displays of light shifting through different colors.
Adding to the spectacle, the tower also glowed in saffron, white, and green — the colors of the Indian flag. A similar tribute was last seen on August 15, when the landmark marked India’s Independence Day.
Earlier in the day, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan extended his wishes to Modi in a post on X.
“Sincere congratulations to @NarendraModi on your birthday. I wish you continued good health and happiness, and ongoing success in advancing India’s progress and the prosperity of its people,” he wrote.
Prime Minister Modi warmly responded:
“Thank you, my brother, for your warm wishes. I deeply value our close friendship and the mutually beneficial India–UAE partnership, which continues to attain new heights in all areas.”
Leaders from across the globe — including Russia, Israel, Italy, and New Zealand — also sent birthday greetings, praising Modi’s vision, leadership, and his role in strengthening India’s place on the world stage. Photo by Prime Minister's Office (GODL-India), Wikimedia commons.
