The memoranda of understanding (MoUs) cover vital sectors and reflect mutual interests in innovation, resilience, and regional leadership:

Tourism and hospitality

Signed by Türkiye’s Investment Office head Ahmet Burak Daglioglu and UAE Investment Minister Mohammed Hassan Al Suwaidi, this agreement leverages both nations' strengths in hospitality. Alkin noted that Türkiye’s cities like Istanbul and Antalya surpassed Paris in tourist numbers during 2024—a testament to its rising global appeal.

Pharmaceutical collaboration
Targeting regional health security, this MoU encourages joint pharmaceutical development and manufacturing. Alkin called it “strategically vital” for supply chain resilience in the post-pandemic world.

High-tech and industrial manufacturing
The two nations plan to jointly advance industrial production with a focus on high-tech and value-added manufacturing. This reflects their shared ambition to lead in cutting-edge industries.

Agricultural innovation and food security
In response to climate change and global supply chain instability, this agreement promotes cooperation in agricultural technology and food resilience. “This is an urgent necessity,” Alkin stressed.

Diplomatic coordination
Signed by Deputy Foreign Minister Nuh Yilmaz and UAE Minister of State Khalifa Shaheen Al Marr, this agreement aims to improve diplomatic services and emergency response capabilities, reinforcing trust at the institutional level.

Polar scientific research
One of the more unexpected areas of cooperation, this MoU commits both countries to joint research in the polar regions. Signed by Turkish Industry Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacir and UAE Minister of Advanced Technology Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Alkin likened it to “a new space race,” reflecting growing scientific ambition.

Protection of classified information
As part of deepening security cooperation, Türkiye’s Defense Minister Yasar Guler and UAE’s Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouei signed an agreement to safeguard sensitive information—highlighting a shared focus on counterterrorism and national security.

Beyond agreements: a vision for regional transformation

Professor Alkin sees the summit as more than a diplomatic milestone—it’s a roadmap for long-term transformation. “These agreements are part of a deeper strategic convergence,” he said. “Scientific research, advanced manufacturing, food security, and diplomacy are coming together to form a resilient and multifaceted partnership.”

The Türkiye–UAE partnership is poised to become a model for regional integration, rooted in shared goals, mutual respect, and a vision for sustainable development.
